Hi, I'm Ren.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog.
I recently graduated from The Evergreen State College where I studied woodworking, performing and fine arts with Daryl Morgan, Marla Elliott, and Marc Dombrosky. Having most deeply engaged with my studies in furniture design and construction, Japanese architecture, and how humans interact with space and objects, I chose to continue producing functional art. Drawing on my experience in both machine fabrication and the use of human powered tools, I carefully balance these techniques to best suit the piece and maintain conscious and measured use of the resources consumed in the production of my work.
